Kenya CCK bacame CAK

Effective from June 2014, the Communications Commission of Kenya (CCK) has been renamed the Communications Authority of Kenya (CAK) with more extended power on ICT and media regulation matters. The type approval certificates are now issued with the CAK layout but the re-branding has not affected the process under the former CCK

Kenya to step up anti-counterfeit measures on the mobile market

Kenya CCK along with telecom operators and manufacturers have decided to switch off counterfeit mobile handsets from September 30 this year. The new measure may help encourage the importation and distribution of handsets that comply with international and local standards in the Kenyan relatively big market of around 30 million subscribers.
