Mauritius ICTA Established New Clearance Requirments and a Web Portal
Mauritius ICTA has published new regulation related to ICT Equipment Clearance and a portal system effective from October 1, 2019. Under the new scheme, a "Declaration of Compliance" has been established for Licensed Dealers, requiring applications for clearance to be accepted only through the web portal. Moreover, Equipment has been classified into 7 Lists (List A through List G) from which Type Approval is required for Equipment only for list B & List D as follow:

The rest Lists of Equipment, if not prohibited from entry (List A), is either subject to Declaration of Compliance by Licensed Dealer Only (List C), to Verification (List E) or exempted from any procedure by Authority (List F & List G).
