MTIT updates the new format of the certificate and extends the validity of certificate to 2 years.

Recently, the Yemen Ministry of Telecom and Information Technology (MTIT) started to release type approvals after the suspension of issuance in the past months. The main change with new approvals is the validity becomes 2 Years instead of 1 year and the new certificate layout with the same information as the previous one.

The type approval management has confirmed that the new regulation is still being prepared and studied by the study committee. It is expected to be published during the fourth quarter of this year or the beginning of the next year 2023. The current procedures for issuing the approvals are based on their internal instructions.

The MTIT suspended of type approval procedures for (1-2 months)

On March 05, 2020, the Yemen authority MTIT has announced that the type approval procedures have been suspended for 1-2 months, and will stop receiving any new/renewal request until further notice. The reason for the suspension is because of issuing the new regulations.
