Seychelles type approval regulatory change to Seychelles Communications Regulatory Authority(SCRA)
Seychelles Communications Regulatory Authority(SCRA) is now the regulator for telecommunications, numbering and type approval.
Department of Information Communications Technology(DICT) will be the regulator for IT services only.

Seychelles Introduced Type Approval Regime
Seychelles Department of Information Communications Technology has introduced a mandatory Type Approval scheme for radio equipment to be placed or used in the market on March 8th, 2021. It should be noted that:
• Modular approval to import host device is permitted
• Family approval is allowed, and family models can be listed on 1 certificate with no limit for now
• Sample is not required as part of the application
• There is no local labeling; however, it is advisable to label equipment with CE or FCC
• Certificate validity is lifetime provided that there is no modifications on equipment after approval
