New Class License Schedule for Wi-Fi 6E Devices
The Telecommunications Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (TATT) released the Schedule B - Schedule of Devices Eligible for Use under a Class Licence, dated March 15, 2024, which includes the operation of Wi-Fi 6E devices in the 6 GHz band (5925 - 6425 MHz).

Equipment Standardization and Certification Framework Version 2.0
The Telecommunication Authority of Trinidad and Tobago has published the “Equipment Standardisation and Certification Framework for the Telecommunications and Broadcasting Sectors Version 2.0” on September 25, 2023.
According to the new framework and information from the authority, the essential points are as follows:
1. The new framework is enforced since December 1, 2023. After that all the certificates are with 5 years validity.
2. The enforcement of the document impacts on the existing (obtained) certificates with lifetime validity.
2.1) if a certificate is over 5 years since the issue date, a new application must be submitted as soon as possible.
2.2) if a certificate is within 5 years since the issued date, a new application must be submitted 3 months prior to the expiry date.
3. The new framework does NOT impact on the importation of the certified products.
