Recently Singapore IMDA updated the Technical Specifications of Short-Range Devices (SRD). As a result, SRDs are re-organized, categorized, and the technical requirements amended, which includes the below changes listed out that clients may concern most about:
1. ' Wireless power transfer ' based on EN 303 417 is allowed in 16 – 150 kHz; 150-5000kHz; 6765-6795kHz
2. ' Intermittent/Periodic transmission of control signals ' based on FCC Part 15 §15.231and ANSI C63.10-2013 is allowed in 433.05 – 434.79 MHz and 312.00 – 316.00 MHz
3. 920 – 925 MHz is additionally allowed for LPWAN, RFID, and ' Non-specific SRD '
4. "Automotive radars" based on EN 302 858 is allowed to 24.00 – 24.25 GHz.
5. 57 - 64 GHz is additionally allowed for ' Non-specific SRD '
6. Both indoor and outdoor applications of WLAN in 57 - 66 GHz apply to the sametechnical requirements.
7. The allowed frequency band for SRD in 5.8GHz is extended from '5.725 – 5.850 GHz to'5.725 – 5.875 GHz.
8. The allowed output power for radio-determination devices in 2.400 – 2.4835 GHz isreduced from 100mW to 25mW.
Additionally, the following AV/ICT equipment shall comply with the IEC 62368-1 (minimum Ed. No. 2) standard:
(a) Equipment designed for use with a voltage rating between 50V and 1000V for AC orbetween 75 V and 1500V for DC;and/or
(b) Mobile/wearable devices which operate within the SRD frequency(s) such as tabletsand mobile phones.
