South Africa ICASA published Amendment Radio Frequency Spectrum Regulations
South Africa ICASA published an Amendment to Annexure B of Radio Frequency Spectrum Regulations, 2015 in respect of Radio Frequency Spectrum Licence Exemptions, effectively opening up the lower 6 GHz spectrum band 5945-6425 MHz for the provision of Wi-Fi services and the frequency band 122 – 246 GHz for Non-Specific Short-range Application.

South Africa is revising the National Radio Frequency Plan
South Africa ICASA is currently holding public hearings aiming at aligning all frequency migrations identified during the evolution of the frequency plans and latest version of National Radio Frequency Plan. The results of this process will enable future planning on the allocation of frequencies to radiocommunications services.
