Dominican Republic: Homologation no longer required for FCC approved wireless devices
The Dominican Republic’s Telecommunications authority, Indotel, has announced that devices which already carry FCC certification will not require further local certification by Indotel. These devices can be imported, sold, and used in the Dominican Republic as long as they have an FCC ID.
Only those devices that have not received FCC authorization will be required to be homologated by Indotel. In these instances, two samples will be necessary for Indotel engineers to verify technical specifications for homologation.
