ANATEL published the new Resolution No. 680/2017 on June 27^th which applied to Restricted Radiation Radio Communication Equipment (Unlicensed Devices: WIFI, BT, RFID, 2.4GHz SRD and many others). This new resolution will replace the actual Resolution 506/2008 within 60days.

The new Resolution 680/2017 is just a law that establish dates, definitions, bands where the use of restricted radiation is not allowed, since the technical contents with the frequency bands, limits and all other technical information will be published in another document before the revoke of the Resolution 506/2008.

Until now, nothing changed and ANATEL is aware that there are several certification process running and according to them these ongoing projects will not be impacted. New projects can still use the ANATEL Resolution 506/2008 without problems.

We know that ANATEL is aligning this new resolution to allow new technologies (like WPC and UWB), but no technical details was published until now.
