Based on Decisions No. 90 and No. 91 of the Eurasian Economic Commission’s Council dated June 10, 2022, some changes were made to “Technical Regulation of Safety of Low-voltage Equipment (CU TR 004/2011)” and “Technical Regulation of Electromagnetic Compatibility of Technical Products (CU TR 020/2011)”, including below updates to the labelling requirements:

1. The name and/or designation of equipment, its basic parameters and features, manufacturer’s name and/or trade/brand name, name of the country where the equipment was manufactured shall be marked on the technical product. (previously, the information should be shown in the operation manual, too).

2. Alphabetic trademarks, names of locality and other names and details in operational documents may be given in other languages. Measuring units can be used in accordance with their international abbreviations.

Above changes will come into effect from December 11, 2022. Additionally, on October 17, 2022, the Eurasian Economic Commission’s Council decided that the EAC sign and the information about the composition, shelf life, information about the manufacturer, etc. can be applied after importing products –compliance with customs procedures. Along with that, the products should be marked before selling to the consumer (buyer). This marking simplification can be applied until September 1, 2023.
