The Ministry of Science and ICT of Korea recently updated the “Technical standards for radio equipment for radio stations that can be established without reporting” allowing object detection sensors in frequency band of 70GHz:
-Allowed frequency band: 76-81GHz
-Power limit: 100mW e.i.r.p.
-Uses in automobiles, aircraft, ships, and railroads are prohibited.
-Conformity assessment requirement: KC registration
Previously, “vehicular radar sensors for collision warning and avoidance” in 76-81GHz was already allowed with different technical requirements. KC certification is required for such equipment.
