On May 19, 2021, the Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA), has published the Class License for Short Range Devices – Version No. (4). The new version includes additional applications of radio communication devices, and the major changes for the new regulation are:
1- Allow the bands: 2400-2483.5MHz, 5150-5250MHz, and 5725-5875MHz for those
devices that will be installed in vehicles, trams, and trains only.
2- Increased the power limits of the band 2400-2483.5MHz to 100mW (e.i.r.p.).
3- Increased the power limits of the band 5470-5725MHz to 1000mW (e.i.r.p.).
4- Decreased the power limits of the band 5725-5875MHz (WiFi applications)
to 25mW (e.i.r.p.).
