Vietnam Authority Ministry of Science and Technology (MST) published Circular No. 29/2025/TT-BKHCN dated November 13, 2025 to update the lists of products requiring Type Approval Certificate (TAC) and/or Declaration of Conformity (DoC). This Circular will come into effect on December 31, 2025 to replace Circular No. 02/2024/TT-BTTTT.
Based on Circular No. 29/2025/TT-BKHCN, below changes will be made:
1. Wi-Fi 6E, Wi-Fi 7 Radio Access Devices are subject to TAC & DoC (AQI)
based on standards of QCVN 47:2015/BTTTT and QCVN 96:2015/BTTTT.
2. For short range device operating in 40 GHz - 246 GHz (61-61.5GHz, 122-123GHz
and 244-246GHz), compliance to QCVN123:2021/BTTTT is exempted until
December 15, 2026. Only QCVN 18:2022 is required.
3. Technical requirements for extreme conditions tests of QCVN55:2023/BTTTT
is exempted from July 1, 2025.
4. Technical requirements for extreme condition tests of QCVN54:2020 and
QCVN65:2021/BTTTT are exempted until December 15, 2026 for products other
than Wi-Fi modems, Wi-Fi transmitters with HS code 8517.62.51.
5. Application of SAR Test standard: QCVN134:2024/BTTTT must be applied
from July 1, 2026 for mobile phone and from July 1, 2027 for DECT phone,
tablet and laptop with radio function.
