On February 10, 2022, the Communications and Information Technology Commission of Saudi Arabia (CITC) has published the new WLAN regulation, also accordingly updated the Specification for Data Communication Equipment operating in License-Exempt Frequency Bands (RI117) and allow the use of Wi-Fi 6E. The regulation and specifications officially enable the introduction and use of WiFi 6E technology in Saudi Arabia over the entire 5925-7125MHz band. For more details about the new allowed bands, and output power limits, Pls find attached the new regulation and technical specification (RI117). The enforcement date of the new technical specification (RI117) is 2022/1/20.
