Korean Authority Radio Research Agency (RRA) recently issued the attached Notice no. 2023-6 bringing changes to the regulation of conformity assessment of broadcasting and communication equipment.
According to this Notice, below changes are made:
1. Previously, when a new wireless function is added to wireless equipment that has undergone conformity assessment, a new application had to be made. But now it has been improved to that it can be applied through the change procedure. It means that only the added function should be tested and KC ID of this model won’t be changed.
2. More methods are allowed to display the year and month of manufacture. However, if the year and month of manufacture can’t be easily identified, this information must be separately indicated on the user manual, packaging, internet homepage, etc., or information to prove the year and month of manufacture must be provided.
